What differentiates Riverside?

#1 - We have large areas outside for dogs to run, play, potty, get fresh air and sunshine. Dogs are happier, less stressed and settle in better during boarding when they receive regular outdoor time and exercise. Our indoor boarding area stays clean and fresh because dogs are taken outside at least four times a day with basic boarding. Dogs rarely potty inside, which is one reason that, after more than 20 years, we continue to maintain a clean, fresh-smelling boarding environment.

Dogs naturally prefer not to potty where they sleep, so we are grateful to have the outdoor space to accommodate them properly. We would not operate any other way because we believe real outdoor space is essential to providing comfortable, low-stress boarding for dogs.

#2 - We have a clean facility with no obnoxious odors. Riverside is Owner - Operated which means the person responsible for the business is actively involved in the dogs' daily care and the condition of the facility. We do not rely on distant management or leave standards entirely in someone else's hands.

In a boarding environment, details matter every day -- cleanliness, outdoor rotations, feeding instructions, medications, safety, and noticing when a dog is not acting like itself. Hands-on ownership creates greater accountability and helps ensure that Riverside's standards are maintained consistently.

After more than 20 years in business, we know that excellent dog boarding requires active supervision, experienced judgement, and an owner who is personally invested in how the facility operates.

#3 Dogs Come First! Riverside is a for-profit business, but the dogs are always our priority. Our decisions are based on their safety, comfort, health, and emotional well-being--not simply on what is easiest or most profitable.

We want every dog to feel secure, receive personal attention, get plenty of outdoor time, and have a positive, low-stress boarding experience. We treat the dogs in our care the way we would want our own dogs treated.
